Benefits of our Outdoor Structures
We offer the best outdoor aluminum structures in Canada with our UltraShield composite finishes. Built on a 6063-T6 aluminum frame, our pergolas, pavilions, and daybeds are the number one long-lasting, low-maintenance alternative to traditional wood or painted steel structures.
Built for Canadian climates
Every structure is engineered to withstand freeze-thaw cycles, heavy snow loads, UV exposure, and coastal humidity, from Vancouver to Nova Scotia. The aluminum frame meets AAMA 2604 specifications and is eligible for LEED credits. No rust, no rot, no repainting.
Engineered to last for decades
Constructed from architectural-grade 6063-T6 extruded aluminum and finished with a thermoset powder-coat, our structures offer exceptional rigidity and corrosion resistance for the entire lifespan of the product. Composite cladding panels are protected against UV fading, mold, mildew, and moisture absorption on all sides.
Virtually zero maintenance
Unlike natural wood pergolas that require annual staining, sanding, or sealing, NewTechWood outdoor structures need nothing more than an occasional rinse with water. No paint. No oil. No seasonal treatments. More time enjoying your outdoor space, less time maintaining it.
Our Outdoor Living Collection
Whether you want filtered light and open-air architecture or a fully enclosed outdoor room with complete weather protection, we offer three distinct product lines each customizable in finish, configuration, and accessories to match your project.

FAQ
Outdoor Structures and Daybeds
Yes. All structures feature an extruded 6063-T6 aluminum frame with architectural-grade thermoset powder-coat finish (AAMA 2604 compliant), engineered to withstand freeze-thaw cycles, moisture, and UV exposure across all Canadian provinces. The Origin Pavilion includes a reinforced roof structure specifically designed for full snow loads not just a light snowfall. Composite components are UV and split-resistant, making them ideal for regions from British Columbia to Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.
Absolutely. NewTechWood structures are available across Canada through a growing network of retailers. Installation references are available in most major urban centres, including Montréal, Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver. Go to our Retailer page to find the closest point of sale or Contractor page to find a certified installer near you.
Permit requirements vary by municipality and province. As a general rule, structures exceeding a certain square footage or attached to the main residence may require a permit. We recommend checking with your local municipality (city, arrondissement, or county) before beginning installation.
Our Pergola has a maximum span of 214 inches (5,486 mm). The system is modular and can be configured for intimate residential terraces as well as large commercial outdoor areas. Three anchor types are available: a 16-inch recessed column base for ground-level installation, a 24-inch recessed column base with floor mounting plate for direct-floor setups, and adjustable steel sleeves for rooftop pavers and sloped surfaces.
The Pavilion can be customized with: fixed or motorized screens, privacy panels in composite slats or cut aluminum, glass partitions, storage modules or locker rooms, and integrated planter boxes. Each addition enhances comfort and usability while maintaining the refined aesthetic of the structure.
NewTechWood composite boards and slats are treated with UltraShield technology, making them resistant to mold, mildew, splitting, and moisture absorption. They are an excellent choice for coastal properties in Nova Scotia and British Columbia, as well as areas around the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River.
Yes. The aluminum frame system anchors directly onto concrete or hard surfaces. For rooftop installations with pavers, adjustable steel sleeves allow for height compensation on sloped structural slabs. For custom or complex surfaces, consult one of our certified installation partners.
Virtually none. Composite components do not require painting, oiling, or sanding, an occasional rinse with water is sufficient. The aluminum frame’s powder-coat finish is fade and corrosion resistant. Unlike natural wood, no annual sealing treatments are needed, a significant advantage through Canadian winters and spring thaws.
The Adriana is a full-size pavilion with a fully enclosed composite roof designed for complete shade, shelter, and privacy. The Felix is a classic pergola structure with fixed, angled slats on the ceiling, allowing filtered sunlight and natural ventilation. Both models feature NewTechWood composite surfaces and the Montauk Sofa luxury cushion system, and both are available in Ebony, Red Cedar, and Peruvian Teak finishes.
Yes. It is possible to purchase the Adriana (pavilion) or Felix (pergola) structure without the Montauk Sofa cushions or mattress. If you are looking for a standalone structure without the floor platform, we invite you to explore our pergola and pavilion collections. Contact us at [email protected] for pricing and availability.
No. Our pergolas use fixed slats, built for strength and low maintenance, and deliver consistent filtered shade. If you need full rain protection, the Origin Pavilion, with its solid composite roof, is the right choice.
Price depends on dimensions, finish, configuration and the accessories you choose (screens, privacy panels, lighting). For an accurate estimate, contact our customer service.
